Modesty is very much dying art in our culture, everywhere we turn we are exposed to more flesh than at times we want to see. Our little girls are being taught to dress older than their actual age. The teenage girls are going to school and feeling pressure if they do not dress sexy enough. But then at the same time we are wondering why there has been more reports of rapes and children being hurt.
My dear hubby gave me a view from a mans perspective: Two women walk into a club: the first women is dressed very modestly and very tasteful while the second women has T&A hanging out. The first woman is going to be seen as a Jewel in the eyes of men something precious to be protected. While the second woman has basically hung out an invisible sign saying” free for the taking”.
We women that chose to dress modestly are sometimes trying to cover up everything. When actually our bodies are a present to be unwrapped carefully by our husbands. By dressing modestly we are preserving ourselves as a jewel and treating our bodies as we are supposed too. Dressing sexy does have it’s place in our marriage, it just can be done very tastefully when out of the bedroom. We do not need to put our body on display for all to see to be sexy for our husbands.
By dressing modestly we are treating our bodies as a jewel and not something to be used and thrown away. All of us women and girls are precious jewels, beauties that are very much precious in His eyes.
Love without Limit’s by Nick Vuijicic with Kanae Vujicic
Love without Limits is a remarkable love story of true love conquering many obstacles of life. Nick Vuijicic is an over comer of so many odds one of them being born without limbs. Deep down inside he struggled with what many young adults have a deep longing to be a spouse and have a family of his own. Until one day at a speaking event, his eyes caught the sparkling eyes of a very beautiful young lady.
Kanae was a young lady brought up in two very diverse cultures, who also struggled with insecurities of her own. Having dated off and on, she knew what she was looking for in a husband, but never thought she would meet her husband at a ministry event.
Their first meeting seemed like they had known each other for a long time, but it will take time for them to finally be able to see what brought them close together.
This book tells the love story of Nick and Kanae and continues on into their life as young parents. It is a story of hope for all of us out there, even if there is obstacles to overcome.

My childhood memories are a mixture of wonderful, good and some very harsh memories. One of those harsh memories has to do with a simple mistake in a recipe for pineapple upside down cake. To this day I do not know for sure what I did wrong, but it triggered a very violent response from my mother. From that day on I did not ever want to try to make the cake for the harsh memory of having a mixer thrown at me. Several years after I was married, my dear hubby told me that one of his favorite cakes was a pineapple upside down cake. It was at this time I realized I had to face a past memory and make a new memory out of something very harsh. I made the choice to attempt to make a pineapple upside down cake for the second time in my life. My second attempt actually turned out better than I thought it would.
There are times we have to do something in our lives that carries a very harsh memory, it may be forgiving someone for something they did to us or even just making a cake that carries a bad memory for us. It is a chance for us to make new memories to replace old ones in our lives. This is the time of year of celebrations and giving of gifts, also it is the time to make memories with those we hold precious to our hearts.
