On the outside it looks like Carmen Hart has everything a wonderful job as the beloved meteorologist and a husband who is the all time favorite football coach. Together they look like the perfect couple a nice house, going to church every sunday faithfully. But on the inside Carmen is struggling with so many doubts in her life that she is not sure if God is truly there for her. Suffering so many painful secret losses it weighs her her heart down that sh starts to rethink being married to her husband. One day into her life walks her young 17yr old runaway sister Gracie, who had decided she was done living with their mothers life choices. Running to the one place that was a happy memory for her, Gracie found herself squatting at the boarded up family motel. The only option Carmen has is to open her home up to her sister and possibly open up her heart to love again. As the two sisters struggle to learn to love each other and some how find out a connection between them. The loss of Carmens job, makes her rethink her life choices and she chooses to restore her aunt’s motel back to it’s original state with the help of her sister. As they restore and bring it back to life, it seems that it is also bringing back to life Carmens marriage and providing healing for both sisters.
Somtimes we have to lose ourselves to find ourselves, this book shows how this works to restore what we lost.
